April 2008Jean Nouvel wins Pritzker architecture prizeThe Pritzker architecture prize is the most prestigious international award; often compared to the “Nobel” prize for its notoriety, this year it was awarded to the French architect Jean Nouvel.
Nouvel is the author of many architectural chefs d’oeuvre, such as the Arab World Institute in Paris, the Lyon Opera House, the Cartier foundation headquarters, and many others. Amongst these, is the hotel Puerta America in Madrid, designed entirely in LG HI-MACS®. Jean Nouvel is the author of the multicoloured front of the building as well as of the 12th floor, dedicated to the theme of “pleasure”. At 62, the French architect, now one of the world most famous architects, continues to exercise his passion. |
