NEW DESIGNERS exhibition in London

During the prestigious NEW DESIGNERS exhibition in London, one of our new recruits of the LG Design Contest 2008, Mai Honda is participating in this event with her original chair “Maino”. She is not alone from the LG recruits to be participating. Charlotte Arvidsson is also taking part with her bar “Q”, which greatly interested BSF Solid Surfaces Ltd, a Strategic Partner, during the LG Design Contest 2008. These ladies are making part of the Collective Five; a selection of talented international graduate design students from Birmingham City University who have been chosen to exhibit at the forthcoming prestigious NEW DESIGNERS exhibition.

These two successful female designers seem to have a bright future with their creativity, and LG supports and follows these young creative talents as much as it can. “Maino” is a chair that allows people who wants to be alone to maintain their privacy. “Q” is a bar table that resolves the problem of what to do with bags and coats in an elegant manner. “Q” was noticed by one of the fabricators of LG HI-MACS® who decided to give birth to Charlotte’s creation. In fact, the design is fresh, but it also strives to be smart. Using the white material as its top surface, the table will show less wear and tear when in use in a bar or other commercial environments.

BSF Solid Surfaces Ltd is a fabricating company located in Brentwood Essex, which resolves of the most complicated thermo formed shaped fabrication. It fabricated the prototypes of Charlotte and Mai.
